Celebrate Clifton Country Week 2018 with a family day out on our next train to Clifton.

Experience the beauty of the Darling Downs in any season, as we pass rolling farmlands offering a different view every trip as farmers grow crops such as corn, sorghum and sunflowers.

Warwick to Clifton and return

Depart Warwick Station at 09:00am for a leisurely heritage train trip to Clifton, arriving at 10:30am.

For those travelling on the Greenmount Special, we depart Clifton Station at 11:00am for a short dash to Greenmount, returnig at 12:30.

Train departure from Clifton Station is at 2:00pm for the trip back to Warwick, arriving at 3:20pm.

Things to see and do

Before lunch (or even after), you can explore some of the events that will occuring across the township.

  • Ute & Boot Market - Main Street - 8am to 1pm - FREE ENTRY
    Stroll the main street of Clifton and see if you can pick up a bargain.
  • Art & Photography exhibition - Library - 10am to 12pm - FREE ENTRY
    View the exhibits on show at the Clifton Library.
  • Anual Iris & Rose Show - Senior Citizen Hall - from 12:30pm - ENTRY BY GOLD COIN
    Iconic to Clifton and in it's 23rd Year, the Iris & Rose Show is not be be missed. Only open to the public after the judging is completed, come see see the prize winning entries.
  • Quilts at Cottage Drapery - 1pm to 5pm - ENTRY BY GOLD COIN
    Have a look at the workmanship that goes into these quilts..
  • Beetles @ Fe Logan Hall - from 2pm - ENTRY $5
    Fun Games afternoon with prizes, raffles & afternoon tea.
  • Heritage walk
    Explore Clifton's heritage with a short walk showing points of historic interest and buildings dating from the 19th century through to present day.
  • Coffee and tea
    Refreshments can be enjoyed at one of the cafe's in the township.


We recommend any of the following lunch venues: -

  • O'Shannley's Irish Pub and Restaurant
  • Clifton Club Hotel
  • Explore the town for the take away shops.
